The pool at Cripps Recreation Centre is 3 metres deep and is a non-supervised pool with no lifeguards on poolside. All swimmers using the pool must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres (2 x lengths) comfortably. Anyone with a medical condition that affects their safety in the water, for example heart condition or epilepsy, cannot use this pool. If you have concerns over using a non-supervised pool, then please do not use this swimming pool.

OUR POOLSIDE LOCKERS

At Cripps we operate a padlock system, feel free to bring your own or they can be purchased from a member of staff for £5.

NEW! CRIPPS POOLSIDE SAUNA

Our poolside Sauna at Cripps is available exclusively for Trilogy Active LIFE members aged 16+.
Our wood cabin sauna has wooden benches for bathers with a higher bench for those who like it really hot and the lower cooler bench for beginners and respite.
Hot air encourages perspiration by opening the skin's pores, drawing out impurities and deep cleansing the skin. The heat also involves a temporary change in circulation, diverting the blood supply to the skin.
Taking a cold or cool shower reverses this effect contracting the blood vessels in the skin leaving you refreshed and invigorated.
Our sauna box is 3m x 2m and can accomodate up to 8 people.

RACKET SPORTS

Badminton and Table Tennis Available at Cripps Recreation Centre

Badminton courts and tables are available to hire in blocks of 55 minutes for both members and non members.
Trilogy Active LIFE members can book one off peak court/table per day, included in your membership up to 8 days in advance. Non members can book 5 days in advance.
Court/table hire is only available to over 16s at Cripps. Junior Active membrs and under 16s can book racket sports at Duston Sports Centre. Equipment is not available to hire, please bring your own racket and balls.

We deliver swimming lessons at Cripps Recreation Centre, The Duston School Pool and Weston Favell Academy Pool from age 4+ through to adults.
At Trilogy Swim School we want to encourage all our students to be safe, have fun and keep fit in the pool.
Supported by the nationally accredited Swim England Teaching Plan we provide the framework for your child to learn a life skill and have fun.
All our swimming lessons are delivered in a fun and safe atmosphere, by Swim England or STA qualified swimming instructors who have been DBS cleared.
Lessons are continuous and run for 48 weeks of the year so you can enrol at anytime!
Pay for your Swimming Lessons with our Junior Active Membership - only £32.50 per month + £5 joining fee or Adult Swimming Lessons Membership - only £35 per month + £15 joining fee

Parking at Cripps
Limited free parking is available beneath Cripps Recreation Centre accessed from the Bedford Road. This car park is operated by Parking Eye and members must input their vehicle registration details into the keypad in the central hub each time they visit the centre to avoid a £100 parking charge.
Members can also park in any of the Northampton General Hospital car parks for 60p per visit. Payment must be made at the payment machine inside Cripps Recreation Centre upon exit to benefit from this reduced parking price. Full price will be charged should you use any other payment machine in the hospital grounds. Please note the car park directly in front of Cripps Recreation Centre (Area J) is available to Trilogy Active members after 3pm Monday-Friday and all day at weekends (barrier will open as vehicle approaches).
